Presented for the first time last May in the south of France, the CHANEL Cruise 2024/25 collection made a stopover in Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI).
A refined invitation to movement and a marine reverie, the collection reimagines the codes of the House and of sports with delicate references to the undersea world.
As part of the CHANEL Cruise 2024/25 collection stopover at the Hong Kong Design Institute, Radio CHANEL brought together emerging artists and major figures from the Hong Kong creative scenes alongside ambassadors and friends of the House, pursuing the conversation about creativity initiated in the south of France last May.
Alongside CHANEL ambassador Caroline de Maigret, journalist Géraldine Sarratia, and professor and DJ Wong Chi-Chung, the guests commented on the power of style and the spirit of CHANEL Cruise collections. They also discussed the ways in which the meeting of artistic worlds, cultures and generations inspires creation.

“IMAGINE AN ELSEWHERE”,
an exhibition by HKDI students
CHANEL has chosen to present the Cruise 2024/25 collection at the Hong Kong Design Institute, a place of creation and transmission.
HKDI students specialised in Architecture, Communication, Product and Fashion Design had the unique opportunity to travel to France at the time of the show last May, and immerse themselves in the world of CHANEL and its collection.
Upon their return, they shared their experience with their fellow students and imagined together a series of multidisciplinary artworks inspired by the storytelling around the collection and by their own vision of the south of France. The energy from natural elements, the sun, wind and sea, as well as savoir-faire and togetherness are some of the key ideas that run through their works. Each artwork is an invitation to shift focus and transform reality — a poetic reflection on how an encounter or a journey can influence our perspective.
A CINEMATIC ENCOUNTER
Presented for the first time last May in the south of France, the CHANEL Cruise 2024/25 collection is now making a stopover in Hong Kong. On this occasion, CHANEL invited close friend of the House Audrey Diwan to direct a short film.
In Modern Flirt, the French award-winning director imagined the meeting of two mysterious characters, embodied by Angela Yuen and Benjamin Voisin, who find each other in the effervescence of the city and its infinite lights.
Artist and renowned photographer Wing Shya followed actress Angela Yuen on the set, capturing the different facets of her character and the cinematic spirit of a city in perpetual motion.
